SRV Update

Dear Members Our season is coming to a close with our Robinvale race and our Point Score series completed. We only have the Trans Tasman Challenge to run on 23rd May at Lake Charm. All thought Robinvale went off well the passing of Jai Welch was a tragedy, to lose a family man so young has been hard not only for his family, the broad ski racing community but many other clubs he had been part of in the Echuca area which was made apparent at his funeral. Trans Tasman Challenge

There has been a date change for the Tasman Challenge this year, it will now be held 23rd & 24th May at Lake Charm. Please come and show your support for our Australian team! For more information on this event please speak to Maddi Boyer, Aiden Cuff or Ski Racing Victoria.

Harper Welch Trust

Ski Racing Victoria would like to encourage members of SRV who wish to make a donation to the Harper Welch Trust. As a result of injuries occurred whilst competing in the Robinvale/Euston Ski Race, Jai Welch passed away leaving behind a beautiful wife Rebecca, and their daughter Harper. Jai Welch Funeral Service

For anyone wishing to attend Jai Welch’s funeral service to celebrate the life of Jai, it is to be held at Echuca Cemetery, South Lawn TUESDAY (March 17th) commencing at 11am, followed by a Memorial Service at 12.30pm at Dungala (Moama on the Murray) off Chanter St. In lieu of flowers, donations to Harper Welch Trust would be appreciated. The board of Ski Racing Victoria on behalf of all SRV members would like to express sincere sympathy to Rebecca and Harper, along with Leo, Jackie, Zac and Ben on the passing of Jai at our Robinvale Euston 80 Ski Race this weekend. Jai was competing in the Invitational Dash at the time falling only a few hundred metres from the finish line after hitting some debris in the river. Change in Administration

Dear Members, As of today Tom Bishop has resigned from SRV in his role as our administrator. On behalf of the board and all members of SRV I would like to thank Tom for the time he has spent with us. Point Score 4 Location Change

Due to dropping water levels at Lake Boga and after consultation with Goulburn Murray Water we have unfortunately been forced to move the location of Indian Ocean Relines Point Score 4 to Lake Charm. We would like to thank the Lake Boga Ski Club for there understanding in this matter and look forward to working with them again in the future.
